Program Abstract

Hundreds of science education professors are using NSTA resources and the NSTA Learning Center as their online textbook resulting in thousands of pre-service teachers each year engaging with the Association’s digital assets to enhance their content and pedagogical knowledge. In the NSTA Learning Center pre-service teachers can:

  • Build a library of resources to enhance their content and pedagogical knowledge
  • Converse/collaborate online with professional science teachers
  • Upload their original work to their library for future use and/or documentation of work completed
  • Create and share collections of resources with classmates and other Learning Center users
  • Establish a professional persona and experience the benefits of professional lifelong learning
