Great article when looking to develop an engineering unit or lesson. The only thing I wished this article included was a practical application to the traditional concept of engineering more linked with technology (but this is my personal preference). Overall, it did a great job of leading me through the steps and telling me what to consider!

With engineering design used more often in the elementary grades, teachers sometimes need to develop their own plans to do so. This article describes in detail how to think and plan the steps of an engineering design idea. With an engineering design task the teacher needs to start with a problem to be solved and take it from there. This article is very clear to follow and gives excellent details for a teacher to follow.
